Go Stern (Go Stand)

I'm sure you Malaysian out there heard of this word -

"Go stand/gostan etc", which means reverse.

But do you know the real term?

Its Go Stern.

Stern is actually the end part of a ship. To be contrasted with bow, where bow is the front.
"Malaysia: to move backward in a vehicle (informal)" - www.encarta.msn.com.

Note the Malaysia noting in front of the definition, probably only Malaysian called Go Stern as to mean reversing. =)

Which of the following is the largest?

Why ... not?

There are times, we try our very best, to do something, to accomplish something, to get that special thing that we wanted so badly, but yet, “nothing” seems to be the reward we get, the only reward.

That, really breaks us apart.

It’s both disappointing and frustrating, and most of us chose to give up, to let go the hope and dream we once thirst for; to destroy all the efforts and hard work we all have put in; to forget that special thing we once aimed to achieve… And the worst? We lost our courage, which is the most important element that kept us going forward, to hang on to what we used to believe; to start another dream-achieving journey; to put in even the slightest effort on something else…

Many asked why; many said they’ve lost everything.

But the past is the past.

It’s perfectly normal that you’re being haunted by the failure in your past, so instead of asking yourself: “Why I should continue?” ask yourself: “Why shouldn’t I continue?”

Why not?” gives you a much clearer picture than just “Why”. And don’t ask what or how much you can get; instead, ask what you are you going to lose.

why not?

Hilarious Mirror Prank

Imagine yourself being in the washroom, you do your "things", off to wash your hand,
then you take a look at the mirror to check your face and hair.
But wait,
where's my face?
where's... me?

Tangible VS Intangible

The unreal is more powerful than the real, because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it, because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last.

Stone crumbles, wood rots, people, well, they die.
But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on.

-Chuck Palahniuk (American freelance Journalist, Satirist and Novelist. b.1961)

The truth is, everybody dies. And I mean every single one of us.

Life isn't about living forever, but to create something that will lasts forever, something as small as a simple idea, an invention, a thought that will grow itself through the minds and beliefs of others. These are the things that truly lasts, much longer than you can ever possibly imagine.

Do you... Love to Save?

Love to save?

“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.”

Earth Hour 2009 - Aftermath

The Earth Hour for year 2009 have passed.

Did you do your part as an Earthling?

Here's some videos about last night's Earth Hour around the world.

KLCC, Malaysia

Bird Nest, China

And one of the starting point of Earth Hour,
Sydney, Australia

Earth Hour 2009. Tonight it is.

One of the most important events to mark on today's world: Earth Hour.

This year's theme :"Vote Earth; Your Light Switch is your Vote"
It's basically an election between 2 candidates: The Earth, and Global Warming. And we, the residents of Earth, is the voters.
It's simple: Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming.

Every single vote counts. Vote for The Earth.
(by switching off your lights)

Earth Hour is definitely a meaningful event for the planet Earth, to face and fight the truth of global warming.

If you are interested, and wanted to know more about it (or even take part in it), visit Earth Hour's official site,

Click Here. It was an introduction post about Earth Hour I wrote on year 2008 back then.

"So, what exactly is Earth Hour? It is created to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming."

28th of March, 830pm - 930pm of your local time. Wherever you are, switch off your lights.

It's 28th of March of the year 2009, and it is a remarkable plus meaningful date.

No, it's not because of the Fahrenheit's Concert in Malaysia tonight;

Earth Hour you say? Err yeah, it's a meaningful event, buuuuuuuut, there's one more thing:
Its the day when Art of Thirteen is rebooted ~~

Thats all for the re-prologue.

Enjoy yourselves. =]

Hey everybody,
it's been awhile isn't it?
since... since my... my last...
well, you know what I mean.  <=]

Well, I'm now preparing for the reboot of this blog. (Note: This is good. Lolz.)

No, not right away, maybe a couple of days later. I mean, I'll need some time to change some of the stuffs here right? The arrangement, the layout, the style and the feel, maybe. (or maybe I'll just keep the same old Art of Thirteen XD )

And these are the things, or the topics, you'll expect to see, here, in the future: My thoughts/opinion about something, some meaningful facts/stories worth sharing, and maybe some funny stuffs, like jokes or funny pics....

(You know what I'm going to say aren't you? >=] )
